The magnificent large diamond originated from a rough diamond weighing over 200 carats, years to polish and cut until the masterpiece had become perfect.
The 100.20-carat Type IIa , D colour, Internally Flawless, emerald-cut diamond was the sixth diamond weighing more than 100 carats to be sold at auction, which cost ($220,459) per carat.
This rare beauty was sold at New York Sotheby’s.
